Miguel Ordonez, MD

Board-certified gastroenterologist Miguel Ordonez, MD, is proud to provide patients in Anchorage, Alaska, with access to the latest in gastroenterology care at Pioneer GI Clinic. 

Dr. Ordonez completed his residency training at the Weill Cornell Medical College program at the Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas. He went on to complete his fellowship at the University of South Alabama, where he received the American College of Gastroenterology President's Award. Dr. Ordonez served as Chairman for the Department of Medicine for Deaconess Hospital in Spokane, Washington, from 2018-2020. 

In addition to practicing at Pioneer Gi Clinic, Dr. Ordonez is a clinical instructor for the UW School of Medicine and the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine at Washington State University. His areas of expertise are in Barrett's esophagus ablation, endoluminal stenting, and endoscopic mucosal resection. 

Dr. Ordonez enjoys taking care of patients with complex inflammatory bowel disease in a comprehensive team approach integrating holistic, nutritional, and advanced, cutting-edge medical treatments to include in-house infusion of biologic medications.
